Syria is known for its massacres over the last 45 years, whether in Lebanon or their own country. The language of peace does not exist for the Assads. Peace and reform is a defeat for them.
President Obama, the Arab League, the United Nations, the European Union are all quiet in their actions. Why? What are they afraid of? Why is the green light still on for a totalitarian regime while others have had their lights off? Does Israelis want tho maintain the "Devil they know best"? Why the double standards?
So many questions...so few answers. Meanwhile people in Syria keep dying. Someone should come to their help!!

Andrew Tabler, from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, wrote a piece about sanctioning Syria via the oil sector, to decrease its revenues. This small steps approach is unlikely to bear any fruit as economic pressure can be circumvented by help from Iran, Syria's main ally in the region and possibly Russia as well.
The fall of Bachar and Maher Assad will require an act of international brutality, because that is the only language that the Syrian government understands...unfortunately.
